Program Description

Let’s shake things up and bring science and health together! Join me in spicing up your science or health classes by merging the two topics seamlessly. In this session, we’ll focus on using biology-related science standards to refresh our sex education curriculum. By aligning it with Colorado’s science standards, we’re not just changing the game; we’re handing educators practical tips and tools to make sexual health education dynamic, engaging, and totally grounded in science.

We’ll chat about creating trauma-informed content, using methods that actually work, and making sure everyone feels welcome in class. Real stories and success tales will give you a solid grasp of how weaving biology into sex education can help students make connections between science and their lived experiences. Time will fly by as we swap best practices, tackle any curveballs, and dive into making science class more exciting. Come join the fun – let’s turn science into the rockstar of a sex education experience high schoolers won’t forget!
